This FUNshop leads groups through zany activities to lift
the spirits, energize the body, and soothe the soul. A rib
tickling, interactive way to lighten things up, build the
team . . . and celebrate your successes!
StresseD is DessertS Spelled Backwards
Your team will learn how they can create a
fun place to work in by using humour in a safe and appropriate
manner. Putting humour to work reduces stress levels, increases
creativity, improves moral, strengthens teamwork, facilitates
open communication, builds trust between management &
employees and reduces employee absenteeism & turnover
rates. Cheryl Oberg is a certified Laughter Leader with the
World Laughter Tour, Co-chair of the Canadian Association
for Therapeutic Humour, Marketing Director for the Association
of Applied and Therapeutic Humour and a founding member of
the Canadian Association of Therapeutic Clowns.
Most of us have become far too serious. We
have people that are better trained than ever, but they don’t
seem to have nearly as much fun as they once did. With all
of the reorganizations, corporate buy outs, and world competition,
staff is having to work harder, change or fall behind. Its
no wonder stress related illnesses are filling our doctor’s
offices.

Purpose of the Program
To learn how humour can be utilized in the
work place / volunteer environment to reduce stress, enhance
creativity, increase productivity, and keep the team on track.

- Define one’s own sense of humour.
- Differentiate between appropriate humour and inappropriate
humour.
- Identify the humourous elements present in everyday life.
- Experience humour and laughter as a stress reducer.
- Learn the physiological benefits of laughter
